We are seeking to recruit an inspirational, business savvy, results-oriented Head of HR who will work as part of the Regional HR Team based in Chiswick Park.
You will lead the corporate & commercial Business Partners, working with them and the functional leaders to deliver their overall strategy and agenda, as well as working together as part of the wider HR team in driving forward the regional HR agenda!
The role reports to the UKI Regional HR VP.
This role will be based at Chiswick Park on an agile 3,2 working pattern, 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
What will this role achieve?
This role leads a team of HRBPs who partner with our corporate and commercial leadership team to deliver strategic people plans across the region. As a member of the HRLT, the incumbent will co-own the regional HR strategy, implementing in collaboration with HR peers across centres of excellence and Supply Chain business partnering.
The main focus of the role will be to deliver people plans that enable the regional business strategy to be implemented. Typical responsibilities include:
- Support leaders in crafting and implementing culture, people and organisation change programmes that enable the business functions to achieve short term success and longer-term strategic business goals.
- Ensure focus and dedication to craft and implement an outstanding employee experience for the colleagues within assigned client group, securing a high level of employee’s engagement in pladis.
- Work with the Centre of Expertise (CoE) to support the design and to lead the implementation of the pladis critical Inclusion & Diversity agenda.
- Provide high level advice to senior leaders and managers to optimise business performance through effective decisions on recruiting, talent management, development and leadership planning at a strategic and operational level, building a pipeline of diverse high potential future leaders.
- Challenge senior leaders effectively through key understanding of their function’s objectives and plans through effective instigation of change programmes, organisational effectiveness and behavioural programmes.
- Support the development of the pladis EVP (employee value proposition) enriching every day’s employee experience.
- Provide critical advice around employment legislation and policy changes and act as critical escalation point for any employee relations issues/cases.
- Utilise critical employee data/analytics and insights to drive critical business decisions around talent.
What will be your key deliverables?
- Design and deliver strategic people plans for all functions.
- Coach and advise senior stakeholders across a variety of complexity and challenging issues such as leadership issues, team development, career conversations.
- Influence a broad range of stakeholders to align on people plan objectives and gain consensus to deliver successful change within the functions.
- Use complex problem solving skills to support a flexible and agile approach to managing changes in business priorities and agenda to ensure HR objectives positively enhance the business performance.
- Lead organisational change programmes identifying key measures for success and leading compliance as well as managing sensitive and unknown issues as they occur.
- Develop line manager capability through identifying appropriate interventions to support individual and team development.
- Partner with Centres of Excellence to support functional people plans and provide consistency of the HR team across the group.
- Coach and manage team to ensure functional and leadership development as well as successful completion of objectives.

What do you need for this role?
- In-depth HR experience as an HR Business Partner ideally within FMCG, or sophisticated fast-paced, matrix global organisation with demonstrable ability to implement HR agenda aligned to business needs.
- High proficiency in understanding business needs and curiosity to go delve deep to connect HR strategy and its deployment with business priorities.
- High level senior partner engagement with the ability to effectively influence senior leaders and to flex approach and style to achieve required outcomes.
- Strong customer focus and proven background of building highly productive relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- Experience of coaching, challenging and advising managers, senior leaders underpinned by a collaborative style of working.
- Experience in managing complex matrix organisation and navigate ambiguity between hierarchical and functions reporting line.
- Proven expertise in supporting organisational transformation, capability building and working with ambiguity.
- Ability and confidence in influencing peers and other members of the organisation.
- Ability to deliver cultural and organisational change.
