We are seeking an innovative and dynamic Head of Human Resources who will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing HR strategies that align with Securitas’ overall business objectives, in a current phase of real business transformation. This role is brand new to the business and will be responsible for fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work environment by driving employee engagement, development, and well-being. Through strategic workforce planning, digital transformation, and innovation, the Head of HR will ensure the organisation remains agile, competitive, and future-ready.

Job Description

  • HR Strategy & Leadership – Align HR strategies with business goals to drive organisational success.
  • Employee Engagement – Foster a positive, inclusive workplace and resolve escalations effectively.
  • Performance & Talent Management – Lead a high-performing HR team to meet business needs.
  • Compliance & Best Practice – Ensure adherence to employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Learning & Development – Champion continuous upskilling and career growth opportunities.
  • Leadership & Mentorship – Coach and develop HR teams and business leaders.
  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion – Drive initiatives that create a workplace where everyone belongs.
  • Change Management – Lead HR-driven change and transformation initiatives.
  • HR Technology & Data – Leverage tech and data analytics to enhance decision-making.
  • Culture & Innovation – Promote creativity, adaptability, and continuous improvement.
  • Digital Transformation – Implement modern HR tech solutions to streamline processes.
  • Progressive Policies – Develop policies that support hybrid work and flexible benefits.

Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • CIPD (L7 Desirable)
  • Proven history of leading a large, high performing HR team, delivering innovative HR solutions and data driven insights.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with a track record of optimising team performance and development.
  • Extensive experience in a large, unionised services business.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, particularly at a senior level.
  • Demonstrates ethical behaviour, openness and honesty.
  • Self-motivated, resilient and able to work under pressure.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel as and when required, both in the UK and abroad.

Desirable:

  • Understanding of principles including but not limited to - Agile, Lean or Kaizen.
  • Knowledge of the security industry.
  • Membership of a related professional body.
