Head of Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability

Location: Colnbrook, Slough
Working Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £65,000 – £70,000 per annum

Are you a proven HSE leader with a passion for creating safe, compliant, and sustainable workplaces? We are looking for an experienced Head of Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability to take charge of our HSE strategy and performance at our Colnbrook site. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a key leadership position with real impact across the business.

About the Role

You’ll lead the HSE team and oversee all aspects of health, safety, and environmental compliance, ensuring that we not only meet legal and customer requirements, but set high standards across our operations. You’ll also act as the company’s Sustainability Ambassador, leading the delivery of our long-term sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead and manage the on-site HSE team
2. Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental legislation, as well as customer manufacturing standards
3. Foster a proactive health and safety culture that prioritises people and environmental responsibility
4. Deliver the company’s Sustainability Plan, acting as a key driver of sustainable operations
5. Maintain and develop HSE management systems aligned with ISO 45001, 14001, 50001, and 20121
6. Support operational and shift managers in identifying and managing HSE risks
7. Promote a sustainable and ethical supply chain that minimises risk and environmental harm
8. Track and report on key environmental and sustainability metrics via online reporting systems

2. Site HSE Technician

1. Substantial experience in a senior HSE leadership role
2. Strong working knowledge of HSE legislation and ISO standards
3. Proven ability to lead teams, influence culture, and drive compliance
4. Passionate about environmental responsibility and long-term sustainability
