Health and Safety Director

Hybrid - Based in the UK

£85-100,000

T2M Resourcing are currently recruiting a Health and Safety Director for a growing engineering services firm with a UK wide remit.

This position as Health and Safety Director will operate at group level to ensure consistency and best practice for all legislative and compliance requirements. There will be responsibility for developing Health and Safety strategy as well as communicating and delivering this across multiple business units nationwide.

Key responsibilities for Health and Safety Director:

• Strategic ownership relating to Health and Safety
• Establishing a culture of Health and Safety into the organisation across all departments
• Board level reporting of management information
• Lead business through ISO certifications such as 14001 and 18001
• Working in partnership on environmental standards and initiatives
• Internal auditing of technical and engineering division practices
• Create an integrated management information system across Health and Safety
• Managing a diverse team of Health and Safety managers and professionals
• Overseeing Health and Safety training and development
• Reach Health and Safety objectives across set timeframes

Requirements to be successful as Health and Safety Director:

• Degree or higher education qualified in Health and Safety or related field
• Credible professional with clear experience in leading Health and Safety for large businesses
• Previously established change culture towards Health and Safety
• CMIOSH or relevant H&S chartership
• Capable of leading a team at a high level
• Strong reporting skills for board level
• Confident in a changing environment and comfortable under pressure
• Up to date on legislation and informed on pending legislation changes
• Thorough understanding and implementation of ISO 14001 and 18001/45001
• I.T competent with Microsoft Office, Quality Management Systems and reporting tools

This role is hybrid in the UK; however, it will also require some travel in the UK, therefore a UK driving license is essential.
