Artemis Human Capital is thrilled to have partnered exclusively with Hazelwood Integrated College to appoint their new Director of Finance and Corporate Services. This pivotal role represents the most senior non-teaching position, playing a crucial part in supporting the school's strategic vision and operational excellence.

The Role:

As Director of Finance & Corporate Services, you will take full responsibility for the school’s financial management, ensuring sustainability and efficiency across all areas. Working closely with the Principal, you will play a crucial role in shaping the school’s strategic direction, making key decisions that drive improvement and success. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to manage budgets effectively and ensure that the school operates efficiently and sustainably.

Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the preparation, monitoring, and reporting of school budgets, accounts, and financial forecasts.
  2. Oversee the formulation of financial targets and budgets.
  3. Develop long-term financial plans and forecasts on an annual basis.
  4. Support the Principal in the delivery of the School Development Plan.
  5. In partnership with the Principal, oversee HR management for non-teaching staff.
  6. Support governance, risk management, legal compliance, and HR policies for non-teaching staff.
  7. Manage school estate, including buildings, grounds, maintenance contracts, and capital projects.
The Person:
  1. Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
  2. A minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience.
  3. Proven experience in undertaking a multi-faceted role.
  4. Strong leadership skills.
