Head Of Finance

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Interim Head of Finance to join our finance team for a 3–month contract, providing strong leadership and hands–on support during a period of transition and growth. This is a full–time, office–based role located in Cannon Street, London. This role can also lead to a permanent placement for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Take control of month–end activities, ensuring an accurate and timely close, with supporting schedules.
• Deliver high–quality financial analysis and insight to support decision–making throughout the business.
• Review and strengthen financial controls and compliance frameworks.
• Identify and drive process improvements across finance.
• Take ownership of deferred revenue accounting and related reconciliations.
• Support preparations and discussions with external auditors, ensuring a thorough understanding of our financial results and policies.
• Ensure robust cost–of–sales recognition, understanding the detail of our margins.
• Partner with senior leadership to predict cashflow requirements and improve visibility.

The Person

• Familiarity with Business Central (Microsoft Dynamics 365).
• Technical background, but with a Commercial mindset.
• Product–based business advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Comfortable in a fast–paced, hands–on interim role, able to work with purpose and deliver results.
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) preferred.
