Hamilton Woods is working to find a Head of Finance for an American-owned large fast-paced business. The Head of Finance needs to be technically strong in Financial Reporting & Controls. They are in a period of heavy change and need someone who can implement new controls to tighten the process surrounding month, quarter, and year-end processes. The opportunities within this multibillion turnover business are vast for the right individual.

Responsibilities for the Head of Finance:

1. Maintain a robust control environment and drive transformation in operational finance performance, including automating processes and delivering high-quality management information.
2. Provide insightful forecasting.
3. Exhibit technical accounting skills, leadership, and strong interpersonal skills, with a drive for continuous improvement.
4. Manage a team of approximately 50 members with 5 direct reports.
5. Develop a "best-in-class" finance function and implement/manage change effectively.

1. Financial Reporting Background: Familiarity with the audit process and accounting for a medium-sized entity, ideally with experience in listed companies.
2. SOX & USGAAP Experience: Essential for the role.
3. Strong Leadership Skills: Ability to inspire and develop a large team.
4. Credibility Building: Quickly establish credibility with both internal and external stakeholders and serve as an ambassador for finance.
5. Exceptional Organizational Skills: Ability to multi-task, resolve issues, and ensure the delivery of high-quality outputs.
6. Player/Manager: Willingness to roll up sleeves and get involved when needed.
7. Curiosity and Detail-Oriented: Keen interest in understanding details and addressing issues affecting the team and the wider business.
8. Fully Qualified Chartered Accountant: Ideally trained in practice.
