Head of Finance

Our client, a well-funded and rapidly growing PropTech business, is seeking an exceptional Head of Finance to join its leadership team. Following significant funding and recent strategic acquisition, the company is now entering an exciting phase of expansion.
This is a unique opportunity to join as the first Finance hire, building and leading the entire finance function while reporting directly to the CEO. The successful candidate will be pivotal in shaping the company's financial strategy during this high-growth phase.

Key Duties:

1. Full ownership of financial operations, including management accounting, budgeting, and strategic financial planning
2. Working with external accountants on financial controls, payroll, and tax compliance
3. Developing and maintaining robust internal controls
4. Cross-functional collaboration with commercial and technical teams
5. Board-level reporting and strategic planning
6. Financial analysis and performance optimisation
7. Management of strategic financial partnerships

Requirements:

1. 8 to 10 years of professional experience with 5+ years in senior finance roles
2. Strong technical accounting skills and UK GAAP knowledge
3. Advanced Excel/G-Suite capabilities
4. Outstanding stakeholder management abilities
5. Proven track record in fast-paced environments
6. Strategic mindset with excellent analytical skills

Nice to have:

1. Bilingual English/French (B2 or higher)
2. French GAAP knowledge
3. EU cross-border accounting experience
4. Technology sector background
5. Professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CPA)
6. Scale-up experience
