Head of Finance

Reed Accountancy & Finance are actively seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead our financial operations on an interim basis. This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with a robust financial background, capable of driving financial planning and providing leadership to the finance team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial management at a senior level and will be instrumental in shaping financial strategy and ensuring fiscal health and compliance.

Head of Finance Day-to-day of the role:

1. Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
2. Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management and the board of directors.
3. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records.
4. Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
5. Manage cash flow and prepare financial reports and statements.
6. Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
7. Work closely with other departments to help them plan and manage their budgets.

Head of Finance Required Skills & Qualifications:

1. Significant experience in a senior financial management role.
2. Strong leadership skills and experience managing finance teams.
3. Excellent understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
4. Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
5. Professional qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
6. Proficient in MS Office and finance software.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
