Head of Facilities Management & Laboratory Services (UK)

We are looking for a Head of Facilities Management & Laboratory Services who is innovative, adaptable and organised to join our Facilities department, based in our Slough campus, Berkshire, United Kingdom.

About the role

You will manage the provision of a wide range of soft facilities management services to the UK and Ireland property portfolio. This includes the UK operational base at Slough, Windlesham and other UCB legacy properties where services to sub tenants are provided. You will also provide support and advice to the Irish offices as and when required.

Who you’ll work with

You will work closely with our Director of Facilities, Head of Engineering and wider teams throughout our campus. You will also work closely with our 4 partners who are contracted to provide services.

What you’ll do

  • Coordinate the delivery of all Facilities Management soft services to research scientists and to the corporate offices.
  • Ensure that these services are provided to a consistent and appropriate standard that meets customer needs and within the confines of the departmental budget.
  • Ensure that all laboratories run efficiently with respect to timely supply of materials and reagents, engineering support and equipment supply.
  • Manage all Front of House services at the Slough campus.
  • Provide and manage Cleaning & Waste Management services to the Slough and Windlesham campus.
  • Manage Catering Services to the Slough campus.
  • Provide and manage an integrated transport management system, including bus services, green initiatives, and taxi/chauffeur management.
