An established industry player is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager for a temporary full-time role. This exciting opportunity involves overseeing the daily operations of the facilities department while shaping its future. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in facility management, with a strong emphasis on health and safety compliance, budget management, and team leadership. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that the hospice environment remains safe and welcoming for both staff and patients. Our Head of Facilities retired after nearly 23 years service. We’ve decided to try to find an experienced Facilities Manager on a temporary basis to run the department on a daily basis and give us time to shape what the future of this service should be.
We envisage the interim Head of Facilities being on a 12/18 month full time contract and paid a daily rate up to £250 per day. You would also have a small team of direct reports.
Ideally, we’d be looking for the interim Head of Facilities to start as soon as possible and be experienced enough in our sector to hit the ground running.

East Lancashire Hospice is a registered charity, founded in 1984. We support and care for patients with a life limiting illness, their families and others close to them. We provide this in a number of ways; at the hospice and in people's own homes across our community of Blackburn, Darwen, Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley.
