Job description

We have embarked on a programme to implement a single Electronic Patient Record (EPR) as part of the NHS digital health ongoing initiative across the Norfolk and Waveney Acute Hospital Collaborative (NWAHC). The collaborative is made up of three acute hospitals in Norfolk and Waveney.

Main duties of the job


We are seeking a Head of Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Service Delivery who will be responsible for overseeing the operational performance, support, and continuous improvement of MEDITECH Expanse EPR systems across Norfolk & Waveney Acute Hospital Collaborative (NWAHC). The role ensures that the MEDITECH EPR is effectively integrated into clinical workflows and is consistently available, reliable, and responsive to the needs of healthcare professionals. The Head of EPR Service Delivery works closely with digital teams, clinical stakeholders, and external partners to manage the day-to-day functionality and enhancement of the MEDITECH EPR, supporting high-quality patient care. It is possible that travel to the NWAHC's other sites for work purposes may be required.


The post holder will contribute to the delivery of the NWAHC's vision and core values, providing a clear sense of direction, optimism, and purpose for their teams. They are responsible for ensuring the teams achieve service levels (e.g. fault response and resolution times) which align to any agreed OLA/SLA in place and KPIs.

Qualifications

Essential

  • A relevant computing or technology focussed masters degree level / equivalent post graduate qualification or equivalent experience.
  • A member of relevant professional association.

Experience

Essential

  • Significant experience of working at a senior management level in a large complex health care related environment.
  • Significant experience of successful EPR service delivery and service management in digital healthcare environments.

Skills

Essential

  • Keeping commercial aspects continually in mind when taking actions and making decisions.
  • Ability to plan and implement a project from conception through to completion.
  • A comprehensive appreciation of quality management processes.
