Head of English Teacher 2025 (Y9-13)

We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated, and collaborative New Zealand registered teacher to join our team and lead our English department. This position is permanent and we would consider an applicant for either full-time or part-time, depending on what would suit the school and applicant best. This position would suit both a beginning or experienced secondary trained teacher. Please state other supporting subjects or curriculum expertise in your application.

Experience and/or up-to-date knowledge in structured literacy and effective classroom practice is essential, along with sound knowledge and competency through to NCEA Level 3. Knowledge, experience, or passion in restorative practices is a definite advantage.

We are looking for a teacher who will contribute to our positive learning environment and who values establishing and maintaining high trust and positive relationships with our ākonga, whānau, and staff, as well as the wider school community.

The successful applicant will teach and learn alongside experienced and supportive teachers and support staff.
