Head of English

We are working with a prestigious independent school in Bristol that is looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of English to lead their successful department. This is a permanent position starting in September.

Responsibilities:

• Leading the English department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.

• Teaching KS3 to KS5 English, with a focus on academic excellence.

• Developing curriculum plans and delivering engaging lessons.

• Supporting and mentoring staff within the department.

• Contributing to whole-school literacy initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
