- About the Role:
- Provide strategic leadership and vision for the Economics department, ensuring the delivery of an outstanding and engaging curriculum across all key stages, likely including A-Level.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching methodologies and resources to inspire students and promote a deep understanding of economic principles and their application to the real world.
- Lead, support, and mentor a team of Economics teachers, fostering a collaborative and high-achieving department.
- Oversee the planning, delivery, and assessment of the Economics curriculum, ensuring high standards and excellent student outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching and learning within the department, implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the broader academic life of the school and potentially participate in relevant extracurricular activities.
- Manage departmental resources effectively.

- Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong academic background in Economics.
- Significant experience teaching Economics at the secondary level, with a proven track record of leadership and raising student achievement, ideally including experience with A-Level.
- A deep understanding of the Economics curriculum and current pedagogical best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- A passion for Economics and the ability to inspire and motivate both students and colleagues.
- Experience in curriculum development, assessment, and departmental management.
