Role Summary
The Digital Marketing Director is responsible for leading and driving the overall digital marketing strategy to enhance our online presence, customer engagement and revenue growth. This role involves planning, executing and optimising of digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including social media, SEO, email, content and paid media. This role is vital for steering the Company's digital efforts, enhancing brand recognition, and driving growth through effective digital strategies. Due to the diverse customer segments, a multi-tiered approach will need to be adopted for reach and relevance to target prospects.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead and oversee the digital marketing strategy across all PEXA UK brands; including Optima, Smoove, Amity Law, and Legal Eye. Spanning websites, social media, CRM and the martech stack.
- Develop and execute multi-channel digital campaigns to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Manage and mentor the digital marketing team; including the Digital Marketing Manager, Digital Marketing Executive, and Salesforce (CRM) team.
- Own the performance of all digital channels (SEO, PPC, social media, email marketing, and content marketing) to achieve KPIs and business goals.
- Collaboration with the wider marketing team to deliver against projects, campaigns and the collective goals to support the delivery of the business plan.
- Collaborate with the product, sales, and customer service teams to optimise the customer journey and ensure a 'digital first' approach and seamless digital experience.
- Analyse and report on digital marketing performance, providing insights and proactive recommendations to drive continuous improvement; including, but not limited to, domain authority, compliance, UX and user interaction insights, content, engagement and experience optimisation and accessibility.
- Own the martech stack and drive new innovations and adoption of AI to create efficiency within the marketing function.
- Oversee the implementation and optimisation of CRM strategies using Salesforce, ensuring alignment with wider marketing initiatives.
- Manage external digital agencies and vendors to maximise campaign impact and ROI.
- Work with the Aus team to share insight and best practice and regular cadence of reporting.
- Work with the IT team to ensure systems, process and infrastructure capability, stability and compliance.
- Work with the risk team to ensure all regulatory (GDPR) obligations and standards are met and maintained.
Skills and Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field. Master's degree or MBA desirable.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years' experience in digital marketing roles in FinServ, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership position.
- Market knowledge: Track record and knowledge of Fintech technology (SaaS) and understanding of messaging and mediums to reach major banks, building societies, challenger bank, conveyancers, estate agents and mortgage brokers.
- CRM: Proficient in CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, with a deep understanding of customer segmentation and lifecycle marketing.
- B2B: Proven experience in a senior B2B digital marketing role, ideally within a high-growth or multi-brand environment. Knowledge of the UK legal or property sectors is a distinct advantage.
- Multi-channel expertise: Strong expertise in managing digital marketing channels (SEO, PPC, email, social media, websites) and optimising campaigns for lead generation and conversion.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills: With experience in building and developing high-performing digital marketing teams.
- Innovator: Seeks to increase efficiency through new tech / AI.
- Collegiate: Experience in collaborating cross-functionally with product, sales, IT and risk teams and external partners.
- Project Management: Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and external vendors to deliver marketing initiatives on time and within budget.
