Head of DevOps Security

Head of Cloud and DevOps Security - £100,000 - £130,000 - Manchester

We're partnered with a leading UK brand who is actively growing their Security practice and moving from an outsourced model to build their own Security capability internally in the business. This role will be based out of their offices in Manchester (3-4 days a week onsite) and this hire will play a critical role in bringing information security best practices to all DevOps activities across the business. The primary focus is to build a strong Cloud and DevOps Security capability whilst collaborating with all technical teams across the business.

The ideal candidate will come from a DevSecOps technical background whilst also having a strong strategic outlook. The Head of DevOps Security will be responsible for the development of robust, secure systems and applications that support the business need while minimizing information security risks through "secure-by-design" DevOps practices.

As the Head of Cloud and DevOps Security you will:

• Configure and test operating systems, application software and system management tools
• Implement cloud security best practices for design, development, monitoring, reporting and continuous improvement
• Design cloud security solutions
• Build and configure delivery environments supporting CI/CD tooling

Essential experience requirements for the Head of Cloud and DevOps Security:

• Proven track record operating within a technical capacity developing DevSecOps services
• Strong leadership skills with experience in leading and working collaboratively within multi-disciplined teams
• Ability to juggle both technical and strategic responsibilities
• An ability to manage and inspire diversely located team members to focus on common goals and timelines
• Previous experience managing service providers/external vendors
