What you'll do
The Head of Delivery is a senior leadership role tasked with overseeing and governing the portfolio change roadmap and associated budget for the Group Business Platforms department.
This role will also be responsible for the continuous improvement of delivery methodologies within Group Business Platforms but also across the entire Global Technology Function driving efficiency and effectiveness in delivery execution while fostering a culture of innovation.
Additionally, the role encompasses the management of quality assurance processes to uphold high standards across all projects. Leading a direct team of approximately 10 professionals, including Programme and Project Managers, Quality Assurance Managers, and Quality Assurance Leads, the Head of Delivery will cultivate talent, facilitate collaboration, and ensure the successful delivery of high-impact technology initiatives across the organisation.

The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need

  1. Extensive experience in technology change delivery within a large global finance services organisation.
  2. Extensive experience of managing and governing a budget circa £50m.
  3. Proven track record of managing and overseeing portfolio change roadmaps.
  4. Proven track record of managing and overseeing large scale Programmes.
  5. Strong understanding of delivery methodologies, with a focus on continuous improvement practices.
  6. In-depth knowledge of quality assurance processes and frameworks.
  7. Experience in leading diverse teams, including programme and project managers and quality assurance professionals.
  8. Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
  9. Expertise in budget management and resource allocation.
  10. Experience of managing third party service providers and governing SLAs.
  11. Familiarity with industry best practices and emerging trends in technology delivery.
  12. Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
