What to expect
As the Head of Data Governance & Strategy and a senior member of the Data & Analytics team, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of functional strategies, role always modelling the Post Office behaviours and demonstrating a Postmaster first mindset.
The job holder will be responsible for ensuring the organisation's compliance with data protection regulations, overseeing data governance policies, and driving data literacy across the organisation. Reporting to the Data & Analytics Director, this role provides leadership in regulatory compliance, Freedom of Information (FOI) and Subject Access Request (SAR) case management, data governance frameworks, and the development of a data-driven culture. The role leads a team managing FOI requests, data access governance, and regulatory compliance while also convening and overseeing the Data Governance Board and a Data Commissioning Board. Additionally, the Head of Data Governance & Strategy is responsible for delivering data training and development programs to upskill the organisation in best data practices.
They will drive a culture of inclusion, continuous improvement, and high performance in the teams they lead, delivering and driving decision-making across the Business, Customers and Partners.
