The Trust seeks an outstanding professional to lead its corporate governance functions. The Trust sees good governance as a critical enabler that supports the organisation to achieve its strategic and operational priorities, and to fulfil its mission to deliver great care, be a great place to work, and be a great partner to work with.
Our corporate governance team provides advice, coordination and planning to support the Trust Board to make decisions in the best interests of patients and to achieve the Trust's priorities.
The Trust now seeks a talented individual to lead the next stage of change and improvement of its corporate governance arrangements. The ideal candidate need not be the finished product: our corporate governance functions are on a development journey and their next leader could be on a development journey of their own.
We seek an insightful, empathetic and values-led colleague whose leadership style harnesses kindness and respect, and who has a demonstrable track record of delivering high standards through teamwork and a commitment to improvement.
We seek someone who understands the role of corporate governance, who can place the patient at the heart of governance processes, and who can lead and inspire their own team and wider stakeholders to achieve excellence.
You will have autonomy to lead a range of corporate governance and executive support functions, enabling the Trust to maintain efficient and impactful governance arrangements and supporting the Board to discharge its responsibilities well.
You will ensure that mechanisms are in place to embed high standards, best practice, and continuous improvement across the Trust's corporate governance and executive support functions.
You will provide specialist advice in relation to corporate governance, will ensure the effective management of governance bodies and processes, and will provide leadership for the ongoing development of corporate governance and executive support functions within the Trust.
You will ensure that the Trust Board and its committees operate effectively, deliver impact, and place the interests of patients at the heart of their work.
You will ensure the provision of high quality support for the Chief Executive, the Chairman, the Executive Directors, the Non-Executive Directors, and other internal and external stakeholders.
You will work with the Director of Corporate Services and Company Secretary to ensure compliance with corporate governance regulations and to support the Trust to be well-led.
You will lead and inspire managers and employees through personal example to deliver the Trust’s vision, values and objectives.
