We are seeking an experienced Head of Construction to lead a team of Construction Managers and Technical Analysts, ensuring the successful delivery of renewable energy projects globally. This is a corporate leadership role that focuses on governance, risk management, and strategic oversight, extending beyond a traditional EPC Head of Construction remit.

  2. Promote a strong safety culture and set a good example for teams and contractors.
  3. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards while managing risks and resolving any issues.
  4. Build strong relationships with stakeholders and contractors, including helping with contract negotiations and procurement processes.
  5. Plan resources, recruit project managers, and set up clear frameworks for managing construction projects.
  6. Provide regular updates to senior management on project progress, risks, and lessons learned, and ensure a smooth handover to operations.
  7. Gather and share lessons from projects to improve processes and knowledge across the business.

Professional Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  1. Degree-qualified in engineering with extensive experience delivering renewable energy projects as an owner, EPC contractor, or investor.
  2. Significant experience leading and building high-performing teams to successfully deliver complex projects.
  3. Proven ability to manage projects through third-party contracts, with expertise in engineering processes and solving technical and commercial challenges.
  4. Skilled in negotiating and implementing contractual frameworks for large-scale projects, with knowledge of project finance documents.
  5. Strong commitment to ensuring best practices in health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Personal Skills

The Head of Construction role would suit someone who is:

  1. Proactive, organised, and able to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
  2. Excellent communicator who can explain complex technical issues clearly to senior stakeholders.
  3. Fluent in English, with additional language skills being a plus.

Salary and Benefits

Up to £150,000 depending on experience

  1. Discretionary annual bonus
  2. 10% matched pension
  3. EV Car Scheme
  4. 25 days annual leave
