Head of Computer Science

As a newly appointed Head of Department, you will work closely with our other specialist and experienced teachers to ensure that students enjoy the subject and achieve excellent outcomes at all levels.

We follow the OCR examination board for both GCSE and A Level. Our numbers studying Computer Science at both levels are strong and growing as students fully understand the significance of this subject. We benefit greatly from students who are well behaved and mature – they are aspirational in their aims and many graduate to study the subject at university and beyond.

Responsibilities for all Heads of Department at the School

1. Completing relevant quality assurance across the team including engaging with student voice.
2. Line management of colleagues and contributing to the performance management process.
3. Deliver high quality teaching.
4. Complete duty activities that support the smooth running of the school.
5. Organising appropriate field trips and enrichment activities.
