Head of Business Operations - Technology Consulting

Location – London / Hybrid

Our client is an expanding business transformation consultancy who help a wide range of clients with their digital transformation and organisational resilience. Due to continued growth they are seeking a Head of Business Operations who will play a critical role in their leadership team, overseeing HR, Technology, Legal & Contracts, Compliance, Learning & Development, Business Administration, and Core Business Processes, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and compliance across all functions.

Operating within the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) framework, the successful candidate will drive process excellence, structure, and operational discipline, allowing the business to scale effectively. The role requires a flexible, hands-on leader who takes ownership, adapts to the evolving needs of the business, and ensures the company’s infrastructure supports its ambitious growth plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Owning and optimising the company’s core business processes, ensuring efficiency, standardisation, scalability and continuous improvement.
  • Overseeing HR policies, employee relations, recruitment, and retention, ensuring the company attracts and retains top talent, while also driving Learning & Development.
  • Overseeing technology and systems management, ensuring that systems, tools, and software effectively support business operations. Ensuring that cybersecurity, data protection, and IT compliance standards are met.
  • Overseeing contract management, regulatory compliance, data protection and working closely with external legal counsel when necessary to navigate complex legal matters.
  • Business Administration & Financial Oversight, including budgeting, cost control and internal policies.
  • Acting as the operational backbone of the company, ensuring all departments function cohesively, while working with the Managing Director and Leadership Team to execute the company’s strategic vision.

The role will manage a small team and have access to external SMEs as required.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Operations Director or Head of Operations in a consultancy, professional services, or high-growth technology SME.
  • Strong background in business operations, HR, legal/contracts, compliance, and technology management.
  • Experience working within a structured business system (EOS preferred or similar frameworks).
  • Demonstrated success in implementing and managing operational processes in a scaling business.
  • Strong contract management and compliance expertise, ensuring risk is minimised.
  • Experience managing flexible and remote teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and accountability.
  • Exposure to business software solutions (HRIS, ERP, CRM) and regulatory frameworks (ISO, GDPR) would be useful.

We are seeking a hands-on individual with great attention to detail who is both flexible, committed and a collaborative. You will lead a small internal team and will also have access to external SMEs as required.

This is a great opportunity for an operations professional to make their mark and lead continuous improvement as the business continues to scale. The working pattern is hybrid with some time in London and some remote.
