Head of Bid Management – Training & Simulation (TTS UK)
Location: Crawley (Hybrid working – 3 days a week). Some travel required to other Thales sites and customers

The Role:
We are seeking a forward-thinking and strategic senior Bid specialist to join our Training and Simulation (TTS) Thales UK team as Head of Bid Management. Joining our leadership team, you will take on a pivotal role to the roadmap and future success of the business, leading and driving the strategic direction of our bid function. You will work closely with the Head of Sales, ensuring the bid team are closely aligned in the planning and coordination of innovative, compelling, and commercially robust proposals to existing or prospective clients.
You will be responsible for the development and coaching of a small team; prior people management experience or leadership capability with an eagerness to develop others is key. This role is pivotal to securing high-value contracts and expanding our market presence.

Security requirements:
Due to the nature of the work that we do at Thales, many of our roles are subject to security restrictions. This role requires you to be a UK National and achieve Security Clearance (SC) without any caveats. It would be advantageous if currently held; however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment. If approved by the MOD, a dual national from a Non-ITAR country may be considered. Please visit the UKSV website for further guidance.
To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
