Chelmsford City Swimming Club based in Essex is looking for a Head Coach to direct, manage and oversee our Performance, Junior and Development squads.

The successful candidate will need to have the following skills and attributes:

• Swim England Senior Swimming Coach Certificate/ASA Level 3 Award (We would consider applicants who hold a Swim England Swimming Coach Certificate/ASA Level 2 Award and have a minimum of 3 years coaching experience.)
• Strong leadership qualities
• Good organisational and planning skills
• Enthusiastic and positive mindset
• Able to lead and motivate a team
• The ability to coach and lead the majority of Performance Squad training sessions
• Able to oversee and manage the Junior and Development squad lead coaches
• Able to attend championships at County, Regional and National levels and British galas
• Very good communication skills
• A good listener
• Ability to gauge and understand different athlete needs
• A strong and direct approach coupled with an empathetic coaching style
• Willing to bring new and exciting coaching initiatives
• A passion for the sport and to see athletes develop and thrive
• A willingness to dedicate their time, energy and focus into all our athletes to encourage and assist them to strive to achieve their full potential
