£18 OTE per hour (including Tronc)

With crackling fires, friendly locals gathered at the bar, and a menu brimming with nostalgic classics that give a sense of comfort and home-cooked familiarity - with a serious wine list to match!

We are recruiting for The Village Pub and seeking a Head Chef to work alongside our Group Chef to oversee and manage our small, close-knit brigade.

As the Head Chef you will need to be a real leader, with experience in staff management, kitchen management, and mentoring.

You will oversee the kitchen, maintaining supplier relationships, managing food costs, writing rotas, and understanding health and safety regulations.

The kitchen team at The Village Pub is small but dynamic. You will play a vital role in encouraging team members to develop their skills and enroll in training programmes. We run an award-winning apprenticeship programme, and as Head Chef, you will take an active role in leading, teaching, and inspiring the apprentices.

Come with enthusiasm, your knives, and a bucketful of passion, and we can help you develop the rest.

Experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous in a similar establishment is required.
