We are seeking an enthusiastic Head Bartender to join our family! This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a close-knit, intimate team environment and enjoys delivering exceptional, personalized service.

As Head Bartender, you will be the face of the bar, leading from the front and creating memorable guest experiences through engaging interactions and warm hospitality. You will take the lead during your shifts, often working independently to ensure smooth bar operations while being an exceptional host. This role is not just about making drinks; it’s about being front and centre, welcoming guests, making connections, and delivering top-notch service. With just two team members covering Food & Beverage during the evenings, you will have a unique opportunity to put your own stamp on the bar. Creativity is encouraged—whether it’s curating an exciting cocktail menu, enhancing the guest experience, or introducing new ideas to elevate the bar’s offerings.

Working pattern: Shift work 5 days on 2 days off

Salary: Competitive salary depending on experience + incentives

The Egerton House Hotel part of Red Carnation Hotels, is a luxury five star town house hotel with 28 bedrooms and suites. The drawing room is where the fabulous range of Afternoon Teas are served and the intimate bar is world famous for its Martini cocktails. Located in one of London's most prestigious areas on a quiet tree-lined street in the heart of fashionable Knightsbridge, within walking distance of Harrod’s and the V&A Museum the Egerton House Hotel is known for its Pet Afternoon Tea.

Key Responsibilities of a Head Bartender:

  • Design and update the bar's drink menu in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and trends.
  • Work across all areas of the bar.
  • Organise and oversee bar-related events, such as special promotions, to attract and retain customers.
  • Mix and serve drinks to customers, adhering to the establishment's principles and standards.
  • Prepare drinks, cocktails, and food service.
  • Ensure the bar area complies with health and safety regulations.
  • Have a strong menu knowledge and be able to make recommendations.
  • Resolve guest complaints and issues ensuring a positive experience.
