Job description

Are you a Maintenance Assistant looking for your next opportunity? Would you like to work in a renowned company which offers up skill and training?

Randstad Construction & Property are working on behalf of a National Facilities Management company to find an experienced and collaborative Maintenance Assistant to join their team in Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out PPMs and reactive maintenance on site.

Location: Glasgow (mobile)

Salary: Competitive (up to £32,000 depending on experience)

Employment type: Full-time, permanent, Monday-Friday

An average day will include the following:

  1. Respond to reactive works within the team
  2. Ensure maintenance tasks are completed within agreed timescales
  3. Liaise with Clients representatives with respect to maintenance & repair tasks
  4. Undertake site surveys & produce Works Requests, Method Statements & Risk Assessments for planned works
  5. Accountable for maintenance, lighting, general lamp changes
  6. Complete reactive, PPM jobs & projects in a timely manner
  7. Undertake minor projects works

An ideal candidate will have:

  1. Previous electrical experience
  2. Experience of working in high profile work environment
  3. City & Guilds or NVQ Equivalent in a trade
  4. PC literate
  5. Good Customer relationship skills
  6. Understand and interpret technical drawings/instructions / processes
  7. Able to organise self to manage assigned tasks, determine material requirements
  8. Experience of H & S procedures & requirements. COSHH, Working at Heights, Risk Assessment etc
