Job description

Job Title: Fabric Technician/ Handyman

Location: Swindon

Contract: Facilities Company

Salary: 25 to 26K

Are you a skilled and versatile Fabric Technician/Handyman with experience in plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance? My client is a large facilities maintenance company, currently seeking a Handyman to join a team on a Static retail contract around the Swindon area. The salary is between 25K and 26K, working 40 hrs.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Fabric Technician/Handyman, you will be responsible for providing maintenance and repair services across a diverse portfolio of retail stores. Your role will include, but is not limited to:

  1. Plumbing repairs and installations
  2. Carpentry work
  3. Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
  4. General maintenance and repairs as required
  5. Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard
  6. Responding to reactive maintenance requests in a timely manner

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Proven experience in plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance
  2. Relevant trade qualifications
  3. Strong problem-solving skills
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  5. Excellent communication skills
  6. Customer-focused approach
