Job Description:

A Highways Lead Hand is required to undertake various operational work tasks and to supervise teams within the Highways Operations Workforce. You will be experienced and qualified in undertaking various multi-task aspects of Highway work and also supervise the day-to-day activities of yourself and your team, ensuring that allocated work is undertaken efficiently and safely with regards to H&S requirements.

The role will also require you to assist in the preparation of work and the estimation of resources of plant, labour, and materials to achieve the set work objectives, undertaking this with your team on site to achieve the target outputs set.

You will be responsible for all the required paperwork to ensure all aspects of the operation are carried out correctly on site and for all information from site that needs to be fed back into the Highways Network Group systems, e.g., completed notes, risk assessments, site logs, and time control.
