Job description

We are currently seeking a talented Group Reporting Manager & Controller to join the finance team. This is an incredible opportunity to take on a senior leadership role in a fast-growing business, overseeing the financial reporting, consolidation, and balance sheet management for a multi-entity group of companies. You’ll play a pivotal part in ensuring the group’s financial statements are accurate, compliant, and reflect the company’s ongoing growth. Working closely with the CFO and leading a Junior Management Accountant, this role offers great responsibility and the chance to make a real impact across the business.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly consolidated financial reports, including consolidation journals and financial statements for the holding entity.
  • Manage the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and manage the group-wide annual audits, working closely with external auditors to meet deadlines and address audit points.
  • Review and analyse the monthly financial statements for all group entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Partner with departments such as Marketing, IT, and HR to provide valuable management reporting and insights into cost control and financial performance.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance and expertise on complex accounting matters, such as impairment reviews and intercompany transactions.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline financial reporting, enhance controls, and ensure efficiency.
  • Manage and mentor a Junior Management Accountant, supporting their professional growth and development.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax, treasury, and legal teams to ensure compliance with all financial and regulatory requirements.

Skills/Experience Required

  • Proven experience in financial reporting and consolidation within a multi-entity or pan-European environment.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS or other accounting standards.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing audits and preparing statutory accounts.
  • Experience in business partnering with key departments (e.g., Marketing, HR, IT).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across various teams.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing or mentoring junior staff.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with financial software (SAP, Oracle, Hyperion) is a plus.
