Group Management Accountant

Location: Salford, M50 1RE

Salary: £50,000 per annum

Hours: Full time, 37.5-hour week, Monday-Friday

Flexibility: Option to work one day per week from home, fixed day

Contract: Permanent

Our company is a fast-growing, multi-channel retailer with operations across seven trading entities under the same group. These entities span a range of retail channels including e-commerce, marketplace, and wholesale. Our products range from affordable home appliances to specialist commercial appliances.

We are looking for a proactive and commercially aware Management Accountant to play a pivotal role in financial reporting, planning, and decision-making. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to contribute to the financial success of a growing company. You will be responsible for preparing management accounts, financial analysis, and ensuring financial controls are in place to support strategic business growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Preparation of accurate management accounts for all 7 entities, meeting Group timetable
2. Completion of a range of Balance Sheet Reconciliations for review
3. Reviewing monthly overheads
4. Reconcile all ecommerce platform sales and checks on sales at month end (Platforms include Amazon, eBay, Debenhams, B&Q)
5. Submission and reconciliation of VAT returns for the Group
6. Assist in the preparation of any ad hoc reports for external & internal purposes
7. Assist Finance Manager and Finance Director with forecasting and budgeting
8. Assist Finance Manager with external audit queries
9. Mentor and develop other members of the Finance Team
10. Any relevant ad-hoc duties as required by the Finance Team

Qualification / Skill Requirements

1. Newly qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA or ‘finalist’ would be considered
2. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a relevant role
3. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
