Group Management Accountant - Central London - £55,000 to £65,000 per year plus package

FryerMiles is delighted to be supporting a leading Financial Services Company with more than $17bn of invested capital. Due to rapid expansion over the past few years and new overseas offices, this is a fantastic opportunity to join our client due to an internal promotion as they continue to grow.

Reporting to the Group Management Accountant Controller, you'll have experience with statutory accounting, regulatory reporting and intercompany reporting. The successful candidate would be able to work in a team while independently delivering their responsibilities, be flexible, highly motivated, have good attention to detail and have excellent communication skills.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified Accountant to gain experience in a dynamic and fast-growing investment firm.

Responsibilities:

  • Accounting and Reporting - preparation of quarterly and annual reporting for Global entities;
  • Budgeting and forecast - assisting with the budget and forecasting for all management companies, including the application of transfer pricing rules to related entities, working with teams across the group and developing group reports;
  • Management reporting - assisting with the production of quality and informative management reports for all management companies including group cash flow forecasting and rolling P&L forecasts;
  • Regulatory reporting - completing regulatory returns to the FCA, preparation of quarterly VAT returns and ONS returns;
  • Oversight of accounts payable and credit control, supervising an undergraduate placement Analyst with processing of invoices, bank reconciliations and being the key contact for bank relationships;
  • System developments and process improvement - work with Management Accountant Controller and external software support to improve our systems to make the function as efficient as possible.

The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, ambitious, dedicated to achieving quality and have the ability to work independently and take responsibility for their work.

Requirements:

  • Be a strong team player, flexible and highly motivated;
  • Have strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills;
  • Be qualified with either ACA, CIMA or ACCA;
  • Excellent MS Excel and Word skills;
