As the Group General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading strategic initiatives, driving financial performance, and ensuring operational excellence. This position is ideal for a dynamic leader who thrives on problem-solving, is commercially astute, and can navigate complex challenges while maintaining a strong focus on long-term business success.


Key Responsibilities

In this leadership role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans that align with the company’s growth objectives. Working closely with the Directors, you will oversee all facets of the business, from financial management to operational performance, ensuring the company remains competitive and continues to deliver exceptional value to its customers.

  1. Strategic Leadership – Partner with Directors to shape and implement growth strategies while maintaining core business functions.
  2. Financial Oversight – Manage cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting to optimise financial performance and ensure profitability.
  3. Operational Excellence – Uphold compliance, safety, and quality standards, exceeding industry regulations and customer expectations.
  4. Business Development – Identify new markets and revenue streams, strengthening the company’s market position.
  5. Contract & Customer Management – Lead contract negotiations and foster long-term relationships with key customers and suppliers.
  6. People & Culture – Cultivate a high-performance environment, mentoring teams across multiple states.
  7. Sales & Commercial Support – Refine commercial strategies, support tenders, and oversee key account management.
  8. Global Supplier Relations – Manage international supplier relationships to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  9. Stakeholder Communication – Engage effectively with employees, executives, and board members.
  10. HR & Industrial Relations – Oversee workforce planning, industrial relations, and EBA negotiations.

About You

A seasoned business leader with a strong background in general management within the manufacturing or industrial sector. Strategic yet adaptable, you excel in navigating market changes.

  1. Qualifications – Tertiary degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Financial Expertise – Skilled in financial management, forecasting, and P&L accountability.
  3. Commercial Acumen – Experience in contract management and business development.
  4. Leadership – Proven ability in change management and operational excellence.
  5. Stakeholder Engagement – High EQ to influence and build strong relationships.
  6. Communication – Exceptional skills across all levels.
  7. Travel – Availability to travel nationally and internationally.
