Group Financial Controller
Remote with occasional meetings in Oxford
Salary is £75,000 - £90,000 - negotiable for the right person

What you'll do:

1. Full ownership of the financial processes and controls
2. Development of comprehensive documentation of policies, processes and procedures for the finance and admin functions
3. Building close working relationships across to wider team
4. Review of management accounts and investor reporting figures
5. Lead relationship with statutory auditors and other third party professional advisers
6. Full ownership of all global tax activities
7. Responsibility over global expansion and compliance
8. Cap table management, including complex loan and preference share transactions
9. Leading role in the development of an Information Security Management System to an ISO27001 standard

What you bring:

1. Fully Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with strong technical skills at a group consolidation level
2. Proven experience in a similar role
3. 'Self-starter' - highly organised, proactive and efficient
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills
5. Experience in life sciences, ideally in a global biotech that has transitioned from pre-revenue through to commercialisation
6. Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
7. 'Roll up your sleeves' attitude - willingness to get involved with any business needs even if they don't fall directly within the scope of the role
8. Netsuite system experience is desired

This Group Financial Controller will be part of a small finance team and therefore will need to single-handedly take on finance strategy, the statutory accounts and global tax compliance and be able to build close working relationships across the wider team.

The salary is £75,000 - £90,000 plus bonus (up to 15%), 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, 2:1 matched pension contributions, flexible hours and the role is remote but the successful candidate must be willing to travel to Oxford for occasional meetings.
