Group Financial Controller

Private Equity-Backed Business (Growth Fund)

£110,000-£120,000 + Bonus + LTIP

Soho - 4 Days / Week

We are seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller to join a fast-growing, private equity-backed company in the music industry. This key role will be responsible for overseeing and building out the finance operations as the business scales. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in managing the internal finance function, ensuring the business can continue to grow efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the transition of finance operations from external partners to an in-house function, establishing robust processes, controls, and systems to support growth.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate completion of month-end and quarter-end reporting in collaboration with the FP&A team.
  • Manage the financial integration and accounting of new acquisitions.
  • Supervise a Junior Accountant, ensuring smooth execution of bookkeeping, AP/AR, royalty payments, and tax functions.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and reconciliations, including intercompany balances.
  • Prepare annual financial statements, including group consolidation, and manage the audit process.
  • Oversee covenant reporting, debt management, and treasury functions such as FX and intercompany funding.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
What We're Looking For:
  • Qualified accountant with strong technical expertise.
  • Experience in building finance operations in a growing, international business environment.
  • Experience in the music industry or related fields such as publishing and royalty-based businesses is highly desirable.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving business.
  • Ability to work four days per week from our London office, with flexibility where required.
