Group Financial Controller

I am currently working with a PE backed Digital Infrastructure company looking to bring in a Financial Controller to support the CFO. My client has recently been acquired and they are looking to grow massively over the next 4 - 5 years. You will be joining the company at this early stage with the opportunity to build out the finance team.

Some of the responsibilities will include:

1. Oversee the preparation and delivery of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and relevant regulatory requirements.
2. Manage the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors.
3. Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, including VAT, corporate tax, and other relevant taxes.
4. Maintain and strengthen internal controls.
5. Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to the senior leadership team.
6. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
7. Provide financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, including capital expenditure projects and potential acquisitions.
8. Produce regular reports for the PE investors.
9. Build, lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
10. Manage team performance and development, ensuring the team has the skills and resources to achieve its objectives.
11. Manage the day-to-day running of the finance function.
12. Drive the implementation and optimisation of financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
13. Identify and implement best practices in financial management.
14. Manage the relationships with the companies banking partners.
15. Assist the CFO with financial due diligence for potential acquisitions.

1. Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
2. Proven experience in a senior financial management role.
3. Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and local GAAPs.
4. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Experience with financial systems implementation and optimisation (Essential).
7. Experience in managing relationships with PE investors.
