Job description

Hays are working with a long-standing client to recruit a Group Financial Accountant.

Your new company
Professional services business with an international offering are looking for a Group Financial Accountant on a permanent basis to be based here in Bristol.

Your new role
This is a broad role, managing the statutory audit, preparing financial statements along with cash flow forecasting whilst managing a small team of 2 in a professional services setting. Reporting into the Group Finance Manager, the role includes:

  1. Preparation of consolidated year-end statutory accounts in accordance with UK GAAP.
  2. Liaison with external auditors and take a lead role in the annual audit.
  3. Prepare an analysis of the group's financial performance against other competition.
  4. Lead on all technical matters, supporting the business partnering team and others within the SLT.
  5. Manage the day-to-day cash requirements across the group.
  6. Manage a small team, providing support through regular coaching and 1-2-1s.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a qualified accountant with experience in a professional services setting. You should have audit experience along with experience of preparing financial statements. In addition, you should have good excel skills, be confident dealing with a wide range of stakeholders and be able to work in central Bristol a couple of days per week.
