Group Asset/ Operations Manager
£75,000 - £85,000 + Attractive Benefits package

Alecto Recruitment are exclusively working with an established and growing company within the Anaerobic Digestion sector who are looking for a Group Asset/ Operations Manager to join their team. The Asset/Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the ongoing maintenance of each site and its personnel, ensuring optimal efficiency and overall plant performance.

Package:

  1. £75,000 - £85,000 basic salary

Role and Responsibilities:
  1. To ensure that the AD Plant complies with Environmental Permits, Animal By-Products (ABP) regulations, Health and Safety Regulations, PAS 110 management standards and Ofgem requirements (RHI, GGSS & FiT tariffs).
  2. To cost effectively manage the AD process and site operations.
  3. Hands on experience operating Anaerobic Digestion facilities.
  4. Remotely monitor site performance and control via SCADA & CCTV, ensuring prompt remedial action is taken where necessary.
  5. Ensure the sites are run to the optimum cost-effective capacity.
  6. To be responsible for the sites P&L and manage & control against budget.
  7. To ensure the safe and cost-effective maintenance of the sites.
  8. Planned Preventative Maintenance systems (CCMS) in place and effective, directing the activities of the Site Teams and contractors, ensuring work done to a timely and acceptable standard.
  9. Ensuring PPM schedules are fully complied with, and a Critical Spares List & stock levels are maintained.
  10. Building, coaching, developing and effectively managing the site operating teams.

Skills & Qualifications:
  1. Qualified with a degree in a relevant engineering field (desirable).
  2. At least five years operational / engineering management experience on a large process plant, ideally Power Generation - Candidates from other sources of Power, Utilities, Refineries, Petrochemical, COMAH etc will also be considered.
  3. At least five years in a senior position with supervisory experience as well as budget / commercial experience (forecasting, P/L, contract management).
  4. Candidates with experience in plant mobilisation / seeing plants through commissioning to handover will be deemed highly advantageous.
  5. Relevant qualification in Health & Safety such as an IOSH / NEBOSH.
  6. Experience as a Plant Manager / Site Manager on a process plant.
  7. HNC/HND or apprenticeship in engineering/process related subject.
  8. Ideally WAMITAB COTC level 4 essential.
  9. Experience working within the AD/Biogas sector (or similar wastewater, water treatment, CHP, etc.).
  10. Project management experience is desirable.
