Job Title: Groundworks Site Manager
Location: Luton
Start Date: Approximately 5 weeks from now
Duration: 12 Weeks
Company Type: Demolition Contractor

Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Groundworks Site Manager to oversee and coordinate groundworks operations on a live demolition project in Luton. This is a temporary contract role with an expected duration of 8 weeks, starting in approximately 5 weeks' time.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage all on-site ground works operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.
  2. Coordinate site teams and subcontractors to maintain productivity and schedule.
  3. Liaise with the demolition management team to ensure smooth transitions between phases of work.
  4. Ensure all site activities comply with H&S regulations and company standards.
  5. Conduct regular site briefings and toolbox talks.
  6. Monitor and manage materials, plant, and equipment on site.
  7. Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries and progress reports.
  8. Address and resolve any issues that may affect timelines or safety.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience in ground works and site management within the construction or demolition sector.
  2. Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and procedures.
  3. SMSTS certification (essential).
  4. First Aid at Work (essential).
  5. CSCS Card (Black or Gold preferred).
  6. Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

Rate: Competitive, based on experience
