Grounds Maintenance Contract Supervisor

We are seeking a Grounds Maintenance Contract Supervisor to assist the General Manager with the smooth day-to-day operations of the grounds maintenance activities carried out across Nottingham. My client is a multi-award winning nationwide business that is one of the largest green space management service providers in the UK and specializes in tree care and management, grounds maintenance, and landscaping.

The Opportunity: Grounds Maintenance Contract Supervisor

1. Assisting the Contract Management Team in the effective management of the programmed maintenance.
2. Motivation and guidance of the able workforce of the Service Delivery Team.
3. Monitoring staff timekeeping, holidays, and sickness.
4. Proactively leading by example, especially in H&S issues.
5. Maintenance and enforcement of security of vehicle, plant, and equipment.
6. Enforcement of the quality and customer care ethics through the workforce.
7. Maintaining workforce discipline.
8. Completing necessary daily check sheets and paperwork involved with the smooth running operations.

The Person: Grounds Maintenance Contract Supervisor

Candidates should be well organized and have experience in leading staff and small teams. Furthermore, they need to possess confident leadership ability, enthusiasm, and communication skills.

A horticultural qualification and an appreciation of IT systems, particularly Google Workspace and field management systems, would be an advantage.

You should ideally have a strong operational background working in public open spaces and understand the importance of working as a team to deliver excellent quality and customer care.

A person with a flexible approach to working with an ability to oversee multiple services and teams is essential for this contract along with holding a full clean driving license.
