Graphic Designer

Initially, this is a 12 month fixed term contract.

The purpose of the role is to support Signature to enable a world where everyone communicates seamlessly, and inclusivity is the norm and where BSL is widely known and used.

Our Graphic Designer plays a crucial role in helping Signature achieve its mission by promoting the importance of British Sign Language (BSL) and raising awareness of the organisation’s impact.

This is an exciting role where you will be responsible for creating impactful resources that help to drive our growth, ensuring that its purpose resonates with diverse audiences.

Through creative designs for digital and traditional media, the graphic design supports the Marketing team in enhancing Signature’s visibility, attracting new learners, and strengthening relationships with the community, supporting both Signature’s growth and the broader goal of creating an inclusive, BSL-aware society.

Responsibilities

1. Create visually appealing designs that are within our brand guidelines.
2. Collaborate with team members to ensure cohesive visual concepts.
3. Utilise graphic design software. Develop designs using tools like Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe Creative Suite.
4. Incorporate typography and colour theory. Use fonts, design principles, and colour schemes to enhance the appeal of marketing materials.
5. Maintain brand guidelines. Ensure consistency across all visual designs to build a strong brand identity.
6. Develop visual concepts. Brainstorm and execute ideas that align with the company’s goals and target audience.
7. Adapt designs for various mediums. Tailor visuals for digital platforms, print, and multimedia projects.
8. Meet deadlines. Manage time effectively to deliver high-quality designs on schedule.
9. Stay updated on design trends. Research industry trends to integrate modern and innovative styles into projects.

Admin

Along with the rest of the marketing team, respond to all queries relating to Signature’s digital products and services. Assisting in general day to day queries from our centres and candidates. Carry out any other duties which may reasonably be expected of the post holder.

Qualifications

1. Proficient in digital design and graphic design principles.
2. Strong skills in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Illustrator.
3. Experience with branding.
4. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe After Effects.
5. Knowledge of UI design and marketing strategies.

Pay: £25,000.00 per year
