Job Description

We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our team that has the ability to interpret business needs and design solutions with high visual impact. This role is crucial in creating visually compelling materials for events, sales assets, and web banners that align with our brand and marketing strategies. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders to create dynamic visual for multiple events, campaigns, and media products with the Solar Media – Engineering business group.

Role Accountability and Duties:

  • Collaborate with event planners (operations) and marketing teams to create engaging and visually appealing event materials including stage sets, brochures, flyers and banners.
  • Design sales collateral such as SPEX packs and promotional materials.
  • Design eye-catching web banners and digital ads for various platforms.
  • Utilize Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat to produce and finalize designs.
  • Collaborate with internal event and media stakeholders to create dynamic visuals for marketing materials, websites and a wide range of media, including infographics and simple animations
  • Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts whether traditional or interactive.
  • Manage client expectations against projected timelines and iterate quickly based on project needs.
  • Prepare rough drafts, present your ideas, with the ability to give and receive constructive design feedback.
  • Excellent creative and artistic skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in professional commercial design, preferably in exhibition and events
  • Must be able to take direction and work cohesively in a cross functional environment
  • Building strong relationships with internal departments and external vendors during production and post-production through communication, education, and management of expectations
  • Produce work that is innovative and achieves client objectives in accordance with defined requirements and conceptual vision
  • Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and clients
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.
  • Experience working with large-scale print design preparation would be a desired skill
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
  • Experience with animation or video editing tools would be a plus but not essential.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and is also a team player who collaborates well with clients and creative team members in order to achieve business goals.
