Graphic Designer

The View Magazine is a feminist human rights platform that publishes a quarterly magazine and campaigns to build a better world for women in the justice system. We support women in English prisons, those out on license, women who have experienced domestic abuse, refugees and asylum seekers, and those forced into honor marriages. We nurture creativity and encourage women to narrate their stories and create better futures through art and writing. The View pays women for published contributions, helping them rebuild their lives.

Role Description

This is an URGENT volunteer remote role for a Graphic Designer. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for recreating the existing graphic design from a previous Issue according to the existing templates. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with the editorial team to create compelling graphics for the magazine, designing marketing materials, and ensuring all visual content aligns with The View's mission and aesthetic. The focus of the upcoming Issue is sustainability, climate justice and the British legal system.

Qualifications

• 5 years of Experience in Publishing and Graphic Design skills
• Proficiency with design software (eg, Adobe Creative Suite and InDesign - must have own software)
• Strong attention to detail and creativity
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Understanding of feminist and human rights issues is a plus
