What You Will Be DoingWe are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us as a Grant Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience managing similar projects, and/or significant administrative experience in an academic or NHS environment.
This 48 month, 50% FTE position is to support a research project funded by The Medical Research Council to develop en face optical coherence tomography imaging for the accurate detection of the eye disease glaucoma.
The main focus of the role is to provide a high level of administrative support to the Project Lead and Project Team. This will require liaison with academics and administrators internally, as well as external partners such as clinicians and administrators at NHS sites and our external academic and potential industry partners.
You will have shared responsibility for the recruitment and retention of research participants from partnering NHS sites as well as other sources such as charities and our existing volunteer database.
Qualifications/Experience- A level educated
- GCSE Grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Experience of working in a project/administration environment
