Myerscough Veterinary Group are a group of small animal practices located in the North West of England. You will be mainly based at our Clayton Le Dale in Blackburn and once you feel confident, you may be required to work at our other branches. Blackburn is well-connected by road and rail.
We have a supportive and friendly team of 17 Vets, 25 Nurses and a fantastic support team. Within our team, we have certificate holders in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Dentistry and Oral Surgery and Anaesthesia. At Myerscough, we encourage development of all our staff, but we are also aware of how important personal time is. We are here to develop you as a veterinary surgeon, but also to look after you as an individual.
Practice facilities and equipment include digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, bronchoscopy, laparoscopy, CT Scanner and more.
39 hours per week over a 4 day working week with a set day off. You will be part of our Saturday rota working 1 in 8 Saturday mornings, 8am-12pm. No OOH (OOH provision by Vetsnow). Earliest start would be 8am, latest finish 7.30pm but variance between these.
After a 2-week induction period, consults are initially 30 minutes to help settle into practice and once more confident, standard consult is 15 minutes, with double appointments for blood sampling and euthanasia. You will have dedicated VetGDP mentoring time weekly.
