Graduate Transport Planner

Location: Altrincham

Salary: Flexible dependent on experience + benefits package

Emtech are working with a growing Transport Planning Consultancy who are looking for a Graduate Transport Planner with 0-2 years experience to join their team based just outside Altrincham (Manchester). You could be a recent Graduate with a degree in Geography or Civil Engineering related subject who is looking to break into the Transport Planning field. If you have up to 2 years industry experience then this would be particularly beneficial for this position.

They are working on a range of projects across the UK within new residential developments, new schools, industrial and retail units. As a Graduate Transport Planner you will initially be supporting more experienced team members with a view to training and progressing in your career over the next few years.

Your role will involve:

1. Report writing and producing transport assessments, transport statements, travel plans
2. Junction modelling and layout design, particularly the use of AutoCAD
3. A confident communicator who is able to speak to clients about project issues
4. Technical analysis and software use including Junctions 9, ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG
5. Working on a wide range of projects including residential, retail and commercial schemes
6. You will need to have a driving license and a vehicle as site visits will be a requirement in this position

In this role, you will be joining an established company as part of a growing transport planning team. They are very social and do regular company events and have a comprehensive training programme and hybrid working. You will have the opportunity to work under a team of experienced Directors and take ownership of your own projects.
