Graduate Trainee Accountant

Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, the role will focus on managing costs across the business within agreed budgets.

This is an exciting opportunity that offers you the chance to gain key financial skills and experience of accounting fundamentals across multiple areas of finance.

Your Responsibilities

• Working with Finance Business Partners and budget holders to create and update budgets and forecasts.
• Reviewing monthly costs with budget holders and providing support from a financial perspective.
• Participate in month end close, creating accruals and prepayments.
• Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Create and prepare reports to assist budget holders in managing their budgets.
• Liaising with other members of the finance team to ensure correct reporting.
• Cost base review and reconciliation.
• The role will also include general finance tasks such as balance sheet reconciliations, ad hoc analysis, and providing support to other members of the team as necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months’ work experience preferably gained within a finance function.
• Numerate with a strong attention to detail.
• Organised and able to work to tight deadlines.
• Confident, motivated, and results-oriented.
