The Position of a Graduate Town Planner

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Graduate Town Planner to support a diverse portfolio of planning projects. In this role, you will collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues to deliver high-quality planning advice and achieve successful outcomes for projects across various sectors, including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.

Key Responsibilities of a Graduate Town Planner

1. Preparing and managing planning applications and promoting sites including 5YHLS, settlement analysis, policy analysis, site design, planning statements, socio-economic impacts.
2. Masterplanning and assisting with site design.
3. Attending meetings and interviews with prospective landowners and agents to secure new sites.

What We're Looking for in Graduate Town Planner

1. A degree in Town Planning, Urban Planning, or a related field (RTPI membership or eligibility preferred).
2. Demonstrable experience in planning consultancy or local authority planning.
3. Strong knowledge of UK planning systems, legislation, and procedures.
4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
