Job Title: Graduate Teaching Assistant (Secondary)
Location: Newcastle
Pay Rate: £84 - £108 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Daily Supply, Long-Term

GSL Education has an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Teaching Assistant (Secondary) to join a welcoming and well-respected sixth-form college in Newcastle. This role is ideal for graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in the classroom while supporting students on their academic journey.

About the Role:
As a Graduate TA, you’ll play a vital part in helping students reach their full potential. You’ll work closely with teachers and support staff to create a positive and inspiring learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist with lesson planning and classroom activities
2. Provide one-to-one or small group support based on student needs
3. Support exam preparation, coursework and career planning
4. Foster an inclusive, encouraging, and safe learning environment
5. Help build student confidence and promote independent learning

What We’re Looking For:

1. A degree in any subject
2. A keen interest in education and student development
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
4. Patience, resilience, and a can-do attitude
5. An updated CV (covering the last 10 years with no unexplained gaps)
6. An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
